1998-2002

Studied at the Physiotherapy Department of the Technological Educational Institute of Central Greece, in Lamia, graduating with a 7,5 “Very Good” grade. A six-month internship at the KAT General Hospital in Athens, Greece followed.

2008

Awarded a Masters Degree in Physical Education in “Exercise and Quality of Life” with specialization in “Maximizing Sports Performance” at the Departments of Physical Education and Sport Sciences of the Universities of Democritus and Thessaly with a 8.186, “Very Good” grade.

2014

Appointed Doctor of the Democritus University of Thrace. Dissertation theme: “Interventions of Therapeutic Exercise and Physical Activity in the Functionality and Quality of Life of Elderly with Chronic Pain in the Lumbar Spine”.

Awards – Scholarships

2009

Scholarship from the HRAKLITEOS II program for a PhD thesis judged by an international committee evaluating innovative research proposals.

2013

Best Presentation Award entitled “Effect of Exercising Stabilizer Muscles and Increase of Physical Activity on Chronic Pain of Lumbar Sick Elderly Patients” at the 22nd International Congress of Physical Education and Sports of the University of Thessaloniki.
